Will I have to touch and re-save every Crystal Report that we have in Crystal Reports when I upgrade to Crystal Reports XI from Crystal Reports 9?

Please be specific - your subject and your post have different products listed....

Are you only updating the DESKTOP tool Crystal Reports 9 to Crystal Reports XI (Release 2)

- or are you updating the SERVER tool Crystal Enterprise 9 to Business Objects Enterprise XI (Release 2)...?

We are upgrading both our server from CE9 to BOXI R2 and, as a result, we are also upgrading Crystal REports from Crystal Reports 9 to Crystal REports XI.

Business Objects Enterprise XI (Release 2) includes an "IMPORT WIZARD" tool that will import RPT files from your old Crystal Enterprise 9 File Repository Server. It will save them in the CR-XI (R2) RPT format when they are imported.

If you need to make changes to the RPT files, you can connect from the Crystal Report XI (R2) to the copies stored on the Business Objects Enterprise XI (Release 2) server.

If you have old copies of the RPTs outside of the Crystal Enterprise 9 File Repository Server in the CR-9 RPT format, then they will be saved as the CR-XI (R2) RPT format whenever they are opened and resaved.

Thank you for the info...That makes it easy...
