question about treeviews

I want to select the previous node in a treeview

I have nNode1 as node
I run some functions on the treeview control and after that
I ask for:

nNode1.Previous.Selected = True

error: the item's control has been deleted
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
treeview1.nodes("a" & tempkey).selected = true do the job for me. The problem is: it's not visible for the user that the item is selected. So, I can use the selected value in further code, but the thing is: I want to give the user to see what happens. Anybody know how to highlight the value?
