Although i'm still a noob with linux, i'm loving it...

Haven't used squid yet and i'm just in the process of installing red hat fc3 on one of my boxes for testing...

Can squid be used to filter sites like programs such as netnanny? I mean to block everything exept for allowed sites?
If so is it a time consuming process?

Thanks.

You can, but not well.

Try googling for "filtering http proxy linux"
