Any help would be appreciated! I removed all my area codes which were built as NPA's [ex. 1201, 1202, 1203] and rebuilt them as SPN's [ex. 12]. I now need to block 555-xxxx [not just 555-1212] for all area codes [SPN's]. I thought if I built my area codes as SPN's, then all I would have to do for ex. is:

REQ - CHG
FEAT - NET
TRAN - AC1
TYPE - SPN
SPN - 12
SDRR - DENY
DENY - 555 [I was hoping this would deny the NXX of 555 from being dialed by any area code beginning with a "2"; boy, was I wrong...]

Do I have to program my SPN's as this?

REQ - CHG
FEAT - NET
TRAN - AC1
TYPE - SPN
SPN - 12
SDRR - DENY
DENY - 201 555 1212
DENY - 202 555 1212
DENY - 203 555 1212

Also, can I DENY "555-xxxx" for each SPN. Does Nortel use wild cards [ex. 555-xxxx, where xxxx is the wild card]?

Thank you for any advice.....

YOUR SECOND GUESS IS CORRECT AND NO THERE ARE NO WILDCARDS OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Are you also denying 976 NXX's in all NPA's, if not these can cost you a lot of money as these are pay per call numbers.

Do you use NXX's for local calls or do you dial 10 digits?

Thanks ACE. Yes, I am also blocking 976 calls.

Thanks PerryPJ. I appreciate the advice...
