We use shipping data entry in the warehouse to ship our orders. We continue to have a picking problem (pulling the wrong items), and would like to prevent the order pickers from manually changing the quantities on the screen. (We have bar code scanners, and want them to use them!)

I have used custom office to hide the Ship all items button. I see that I can hide the shipping column, but that would prevent them from being able to see what they have scanned. Is there a way to prevent the editing of the Shipped column? We only want them to ship items by scanning them.

Thanks for your help!

Kevin,

From the point of view of shipping data entry, it wouldn't know the difference between what is typed vs. what is scanned, so I don't know what you could do to prevent them typing in the quantity.
