A scenario I was discussing yesterday, was wondering if anyone had a definite answer on this.
A W2K network has two domain controllers, both are global catalog servers. The boot drives in both servers are mirrored and as part of disaster recovery one of the mirrored drives is replaced regularly, the array is rebuilt on the new drive and the replaced mirrored drive is archived in a safe.
If the scenario comes up where both drives in the mirror should fail in one of the servers and we need to use the archived mirrored drive, how will AD update? Let's say the archived mirrored drive is three weeks old, will AD automatically update the archived mirrored drive with the latest information based on the more recent dates from the other domain controller?
Thanks,
Joe
