On a magix 4.0 r7.0 I have remote call forwarding set up on most of the extensions. They have a forward button on each phone. The put in the number (ex. 9xxxxxxxx#)but it only works if you dial the extension directly from another extension. If you transfer from ext. 100 you get "invalid transfer".

Trunk to trunk transfer and Remote call forward is set up for each extension.

Each extension is set to ARS 3, and unrestricted.

What am I doing wrong?

Some more information, the transferring extension is the DLC operator (ext. 100.) and they are using loop start lines.

I don't know if that helps, but I figured too much info is better than not enough.

Check to see if you have "reliable disconnect" enabled. You can't do trunk-to-trunk transfers or forwarding outside without that parameter enabled otherwise you would lockup all your trunks!

Hope this helps!

Would that produce the "invalid transfer" message that I am getting?

I made the change, but am not onsite to see if that fixed it. I am programming remotely.

Also, would the reliable disconnect cause me to have problems programming remotely?

You could have your client forward one or two stations and place some test calls to see if the feature is working.

The "reliable disconnect" should have no effect on remote programming, but a noisy or faulty line connection or modem would.
