Hi there

Apologies if this is a really daft question, but I'm trying to troubleshoot some performance issues and i've got a system where a 100/full port and a 1000/full port are set up together as a network team. The network connection from the Windows box shows a 1gb connection, and the network switch shows a 1gb connection, but the throughput we are seeing looks way more like its a 100mb connection.

Does anyone know if you're using Compaq teaming, and set up a team with two different speed ports, whether the team will operate at the speed of the lowest of the two cards? I can't seem to find anywhere within the team configuration I can check this.

Sorry, just wondered if anyone had ever seen a team with different speed ports in it before, because I'm sure i haven't!!

Many thanks

Your correct all HP`s /Compaqs connect at the lowest NICS speed with the HP teaming software by default. You can however set the team for fail on fault, making the 1gb nic the primary Nic and then setting the 100mb nic as the failover.

Hope this helps :)
