question about MTA

Hi Guys,

I have got the opportunity to apply as LInux admin, I'm pretty familiar with linux as scripter/programmer, but they require to have strong knowledge about MTA (Mail Transfer Agents) which I'm not familiar with.

So does anyone know about this ? or is this hard for me to learn ? is this possible for me to browse in the net to get my head around and have more experience by doing straight at the job ?

Please liase me with any useful tutorial link and let me know what you think

It would probably be a good idea to find out exactly which MTA you would be working with (qmail, sendmail, postfix, exim, etc.) and then start reading up on that. Or possibly, get a good grip on SMTP, POP3, IMAP, vpopmail or similar.
