question about mt 1000 server adapter

I just got a PE2850 running w2k3 and its showing 3 network adapters. In hardware wizard one is called an intel mt 1000 server adapter, anyone know what this refers to? some kind of software adapter?
Sorry this is a new one for me:)

My 2650's also have 3 adapters. 2 intended for the ordinary uses, and the third is for "administrative access". Look all over the back of the machine, you'll see 3 network ports, 2 together and 1 separate.

thanks for the response! I've already looked and only see 2 there. 1 Gb and 2GB.
any other ideas?

On the 2650, the 3rd port is located at the bottom right corner of the back. I don't know about the 2850s, but I'm getting 4 of them next month...
