Greetings,

I have 2 questions: 1) How can I make my Linux log files bigger? They seem to grow to a certain size and stay that size.
2) I am getting the following error in my security log "Jul 24 06:49:01 server PAM_pwdb[1915]: 1 authentication failure; (uid=0) -> brianw for samba service". However I am seeing no evidence of having problems from the client end. I connect to all of my shares, don't have any login errors etc. Everything works fine. I have encrypted passwords turned off in Samba as well as at the client workstation.
I am running COL2.3 as a file server.

Thanks,
Brian

wow, this does look tough.
the only thing i see, and this may be wrong, is that "mark-interval"

look at the -m option on your syslogd to see if this is of any use..
i dont know, maybe change it to 10080. (a week)
maybe im way off on that,
most people have troubles with the log file getting to big. this is wierd.
let me (us) know if youve solved this one yet.
