We have simple setup of 6 analog coming and all are in POOL A. Pool B has one line and ie fax we only use for phone when pool A is busy.
Anybody can access POOL A. We have Mics 7.0 with call pilot 100 and T7316 and T7208 phones

My question is
1. What is the difference between line access and line assignment.
How does it work,Does it work like one can program individual line to every extension or group of extension.
does every line need to be assigned to every extension or POOL A can be assigned directly to every extension
2. I was reading and found that one has to have minmum 2 intercom keys and target line key appearances. Why is that.

I am confuse about this. Please explain in detail.

Thx

1.
Line Access:
Allows the set access to line pools etc

Line Assignment:
Puts a physical line on a set

2.
If you want to make a conference call or take 2 or more calls then you need to add Intercoms as needed.
When dealing with Target lines (DID's) most will program the Target line to Ring Only at a set, it will come in on the Intercom key.
If you choose to Appear and Ring then example you say Line 145 A&R ring at X221 but put a few Appearances so they can be monitored.
