Question About Import Errors

Hello

I am trying to import an excel spreadsheet into a table in access 2000. I get 121 import errors all saying "Type Conversion Failure". Can someome please tell me why this happens and what I can do about this?

Seems that at least one column has no coherent data, eg first values numeric and then text.

Usually, what happens is that a column is thought to be numeric. Part way down the column, there may be non-numeric entries.
