Someone had told me that the newer DS30A would be able to accommodate Avaya 9500 Digital Sets as well. I found that a little hard to believe and my search on the KB/supplier catalog have validated my skepticism. I just wanted to make one last check with you folks here before I issued a hard no to my customer about that. They have a dying BCM and wanted to transition slowly, purchasing an IPO w/ TCM8/DS30A and then slowly integrating digital sets as their old Nortel sets keeled over.

The DS30A is for the nortel T7000 and M7000 series phones. What you want is the DS30B, which can use avaya OR nortel, but not both at the same time.

Just to add to the confusion.

With rel 9.0 software you have an option to select which phones you connect to the new expansion module.
Shows as Dig ADPx16 rj45b

You can either select ipo phones or Nortel phones.
The module is then set to accommodate all ports to the desired selection.

If you select BST then the module becomes a TCM module
If you select DS then the modules becomes a digital station module
