The Text field gets truncated using a Select .
The online help says that DBTEXTLIMIT could
be limiting it ..... I am also aware of SET TEXTSIZE.
How can I see or change the value of DBTEXTLIMIT
which is in DB-LIBRARY.

thanks

I too faced the same problem. But fortunately thew value is truncated only when displaying on the 'Query Analyzer'.

When the same query is run through an application like 'asp', the results appear as expected(without any truncation).

I have installed the service pack (sql70sp2i.exe) which you
can download on

Then use the 'Current Connection Options'-MenuItem in the
'Query'-Menu of the Query Analyzer
and in the Advanced-box you can modify
the 'Maximum characters per column'

Query analyzer has an option that is user settable. It is the result set maximum characters per column. Check out the option in QA. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
