Question about Design

Hi. This is probably a very simple answer to this question, since i know almost nothing about HTML and web design.

Please look at the website below. Notice on the left-hand side the menu that expands when you move your mouse over each link. What software would I need in order to create a similar menu on a web page? Thanks!

You'd need one of many, many menu scripts out there.

Try visiting

http://www.dynamicdrive.com

and looking in the "menus" section.

If you need help with the script, I'd ask in the JavaScript forum.

Incidentally, you are confusing web development with web design. The two are as different as coke and pepsi... In much the same way as you wouldn't ask a builder to design a house, or an architect to build one.
