question about db2 connect

hi guys,

I've a problem and i want to know if it possible,
i explain

On a server A, i've installed DB2connect server;
with this DB2connect, i connect to my DB2 database on the host.
If i've good understand, the DB2connect create a virtual database on my server A;
And when i connect to the virtual database on the server A(via a script),
the DB2connect connect to the real DB2 database on the host.
I've installed a DB2 client on my windows pc and i want to know if it possible to connect to DB2connect on the server A with my DB2 client on windows ?

No "virtual database". The keyword here is "gateway" and there is plenty documentation around on the net.
i.e.
