My brother in-law, like me, does IT although is at a much higher manager type at a different company and I guess had some long and forgotten hardware leftover by a phone/data carrier last year that they were going to switch to. They dropped switching to that carrier, but they never contacted him regarding getting the equipment back and its been something like 8 months now.
He was thinkin of just selling them on eBay for some money since all they are doing is taking up space anyway.
I think they are IAD 2400s? Is Cisco equipment registered with Cisco to the company that originally payed for them? Or is there some other kind of measure in place that would make selling them off pointless? Would the buyer still be able to use them?
I'm not a Cisco guy, so I know nothing of their hardware. Curious if anyone else knew.
