Question about an 1140 set setup as an ACD agent 1

Hi,

I have programmed and 1140 set to be an ACD agent with the agent's personal extension on key 3. He also uses a softphone (i2050) when he is not in the office, however, this is not setup as a ACD set but just has his personal extension on the softphone. The problem that is happening is that if someone leaves him a message he does not get any indication on his phone that he has a messages. If I delete the softphone TN then his 1140 set will light up when there are messages. Do I need to program his softphone to be identical to his 1140 phone in order for the message indication to work?

marp the 1140 instead of the softphone make sue you have fdn hunt setup to VM with a mwk on both sets

I had the same problem before and all I had to do was add LMPX in the Class of Service on both sets. This should correct your problem.

Let us know, may have something else to try.

 
forgot - Multiple Appearance DN w/ ACD set. Does not correctly light MWK with Mermail, don't know about Call Pilot.

Call Pilot and marp'd acd sets don't play well. If you have the space, add a rollover key on that 1140, whatever your rollovers are, then go into CP mailbox and add that rollover extension to the mwi dn portion of the mailbox.

Just an update I did try the suggestions above:
1. Extension was marped to the 1140 set as well as the FDN and Hunt set to voicemail extension and mwk on both sets.

2. I added LMPX to the class of service on both sets.

Unfortunately the 1140 set is still not indicating when there are messages left in the user's mailbox. I too had a problem with multiple appearance DN w/ACD sets in meridian mail, I was hoping the problem had been fixed with call pilot. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I just got the last suggestion and I will try the rollover extension and let you know if this works. Thanks.
 
Just an update the rollover extension was a success when I changed the MWI in call pilot to that new ext. The message light comes on with a message and turns off when you listen to the messages. The only problem is the the softphone stays lite up even when there are no messages. The user is okay with the softphone, however, if anyone has other suggestions I will gladly try it.

Guessing the original extension is still listed as one of the mwi dn choices? If so remove that and just have your new rollover line set to mwi? You may have to add a differant rollover on the soft phone and add that as well to get the mwi to work on it.
