We are using Aloha manager cards purchased from a 3rd party (Restaurant Card Central) on a MagTek 21040108 Triple Track usb keyboard emulation type swiper. We are having our own software written for employee payroll that will use a separate manager card for access.

Question: Does anyone know the specifics on the Aloha card? Is it 1, 2 or 3 track? I know our managers have used a multitude of other cards in it's place in emergencies (drivers licenses, gift cards, welfare cards, you name it)

Question: Is there a card that specifically won't work such that I shuld use that on my payroll system so the same card cannot be shared between systems? We really want to control the cards for the editing of time.

Swipe a card into notepad and see what is encoded. Each track has a different start and end character. If you swipe a CC you will see there are usually 2 tracks, sometimes 3. Track 1 starts with a percent, ends with a question mark. Track 2 stars with a semi colon, ends with a question mark. Not sure on track 3 but you can Google it.
