I am have a system with 200 plus users and a few different "User Rights" setup for the system. They want to put an Authorization Code in for International Dialing. That part of it I have setup and figured out (working too). My question is how can I give the entire system the same code to dial out. I know it's bad practice and the system says "No Duplication". If I set the groups up with the same code will it still work? They are not worried about the employees, but rather guests and cleaners that have learned how to use the phones and make long distance calls.

Thanks

Just use a system shortcode for this, bar dialling international without a specific prefix which is your code, no need for auth codes :)

While I agree that would be easier, they feel better having the codes rather than Barring.

It amounts to the same thing, they can't dial international without entering the code, same with the shortcode, only difference is the call is barred earlier in the dialling :)

OK, I see what you mean. How would I code this short code? Also how would I include Canada which doesn't require 0 from the US?

Thanks for the help.

For example if I want to stop people dialling international here, all international starts with 00, so:

Code - 00N
Feat - Barred
Tel number - . (doesn't really matter)

and to allow it with a code

Code - 12345600N
Feat - Dial
Tel number - 00N

In order to dial international you would need to dial 123456 first :)

So with using 9N for outside line wouldn't I set this up as 90N?
