Here’s the deal:

I created a VDN (X56600)

I created a Vector (50)

I created an Announcement (X59725)

I created a Hunt Group (X59130) with 4 different extensions

I have 4 phones set up in a small area with these 4 different extensions, one for each.

I want to dial X56600 and hear my announcement and then vector over and randomly ring one of the 4 extensions and when they all 4 become busy or are not answered in 5 rings, I want to goto a different extension (X54100)

Everything is working up to a point. I dial X56000 and get the announcement and then it randomly rings one of the 4 extensions and when they all become busy, I just get a busy. It doesn’t go over to X54100.

Can anyone help me with this vector and tell me where I am stuck?

Here is the vector:

Number: 50 Name: USA eEARS test
Multimedia? n Attendant Vectoring? n Meet-me Conf? n Lock? n
Basic? y EAS? y G3V4 Enhanced? y ANI/II-Digits? y ASAI Routing? n
Prompting? y LAI? y G3V4 Adv Route? y CINFO? y BSR? y Holidays? y
Variables? y 3.0 Enhanced? y

01 announcement 59725
02 goto step 3 if unconditionally
03 route-to number 59130 with cov n if unconditionally
04 goto step 5 if unconditionally
05 busy
06 goto step 7 if unconditionally
07 route-to number 54100 with cov n if unconditionally

Hi Rick

Do the phones in your hunt group have cover paths? If so, you will need to change line 7 to read "route-to number 54100 with cov y if unconditionally"

Merrie

No the four phones do not have cover paths. We just want to play the announcement, ring one of the 4 phones at random until they all get busy at which time we want it to roll over to X54100.

We are doing this as a test for an emergency system. We are going to have a ton of people call in to the VDN and kind of stress test the system.

how about 54100 - is it another extension or voicemail?

It's actually a VDN for our help desk. So basically when the 4 extensions that we have for our emergency desk become all busy, we want to roll over to our help desk personell at 54100.

change the coverage to Y in the vector. Then add a coverage path on the hunt group form to route calls on busy to v54100.

You also stated that you would like the call to bounce after 5 rings...I think you will have to use coverage path for this.

in your vector, I do not see where it would get anywhere after step 3.......

what if you made the unt group a skill,, then you can set re-direct on no answer, set the rings to 5 and set 54100 as the RONA destination...

then the vector could look like this..

01 announcement 59725
02 goto step 5 if available-agents in skill 59130 = 0
03 queue to skill 59130 pri m
04 wait time 60 sec hearing music
05 route to number 54100 with cov n if unconditionally

so if avail agents were 0 it would go straight to 54100, otherwise it will queue to one of the agents,, if no one answers after 60 secs (or whatever timefram you wanted) it will goto 54100 anyways..

Thank you everyone for your input. With your help I was able to get it to work. Great information!

Rick
