Quest blocking video/voice through MSM?

Talking to all of my friends, I have found 3 of us who can not make video/voice communication work over DSL. The one thing in common?? We all subscribe through Quest. So, Is it possible that Quest has blocked the ports used by MSM (Microsoft Messenger) to run video/voice? If so, can I change the default port assignments, and where do I find these settings?? Thanx,

Do you also have in common the use of a DSL router or something between the modem and your PCs? From what I understand Messenger runs into problems with NAT environments.
