I don't know if my "subject" made any sense, so here is an example of what I am talking about.
I have a site that is on a shared hosting service running CF7. Let's say the site is "example.com." The root folder for all the domains in my account is "htdocs" and the site files are in the subfolder "example-web".
Let's say I have a folder "htdocs/example-web/foo" which has the file index.cfm. If, in the browser, I try the URL and querystring " (notice there is no slash after foo), my browser address bar displays the following:
Why would the server display the name of the physical folder "example-web" after the domain name?
Note that if I enter the URL and string " (notice now that there IS a slash after foo), it does not do the odd thing, but displays in the address bar exactly what I typed.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
