Hi,
I've managed to create a query that will list the ip addresses of all the computers at work. Does anybody have any idea how to then use that query to create a list of ip addresses in the same range that are not used?
I really don't want to have to type out every ip address in the range and do a query that way.

Type out the full list of IP addresses in Excel, using the automatic updating as you drag the selected box down.

Back in Access import the data into a new table (file import data type Excel etc)and use a preset wizard in queries to compare the two datasets looking for values in the new table that are not in the query's recordset.

lordrich: Why don't you post your original query so that others may benefit from it. I am sure others would like to do that same thing at some time in their offices. Then when finished post your final query to create the recordset of those IP's not listed.
