Querying Databases on different server

I'm not sure if this is possible, but i have one site that is hosting the database (

http://www.in-call.com)

and i am creating another site (1internet-phone.com) where i would like to use the database from

http://www.in-call.com.

How would i go about doing this? Can it even be done in MySQL?

Are both web sites going to be hosted on the same server or set of servers?
Are the databases going to be on the same server or set of servers?

The websites will be on the different server, and the database will be on only 1 server. Basically I am trying to create a link exchange database which both site can use. Right now I am connecting to the database through dreamweaver. When it ask for host i put localhost.

For example

when i am editing

http://www.in-call.com

i use localhost for the MySQL server, but when i use

http://www.1internet-phone.com

i can't use localhost because it is a different server.

You can certainly connect to a MySQL server from another machine. You just need to make sure that your user is allowed to login to MySQL from the other machine.
