I'm not an experienced access user, so if anyone can point me in the right direction...it would be much appreciated:

I've created an "Application" form that contains only two records. In another form entitled "Households" I have those same two records and an additional record.

In my query I want to display the two records in the Application form AND the additional form from the Household table.

I've played around with the joins...every possible combination it seems, but it's just not working.

I'm just looking for general ideas of what could be wrong since I've exhausted the "edit joins" option with no success in displaying that last record.

Small symantic correction: forms don't "contain" records. Tables contain records and forms and reports display records.

If you would tell us about your tables and fields, some sample data and what you expect in your final query, we might be able to help.
