query, voice mail port reservation

Is it possible to reserve voicemail port to a certain groups or user?

scenario:

8 VM ports
20 agents = (2 groups of 10 agents)

Is it possible to spare 4 for the first group and 4 to other group?

the short answer is no you can't do that

you can reserve ports for recordings or for auto attendants but you can not split the ports for agent groups.

And what makes it worse some releases have that option completely taken away in the programming, of course without telling anyone about it in the manual.

it would not work for your purposes anyways but it could help to reserve them for at least partially what you need it for.

It might come back if enough people actualy use it, but I have used it in 10 years once.
