I have a two subreports in the main report. One of the subreport is a report based on a Query that I wrote in SQL Designer. However, everytime I refresh the data on the main report, the data on that subreport does not change. And I already made sure that the Save Data with Query option in SQL Designer for the Query is not checked and the Save Data with Report option is not checked in all the reports and the Perform Query Asynchronously option is checked in all the reports. Did I missed anything?

The data did not appear to change when I just save the report and refresh. But I closed the Report Designer and reopened the report and refresh the data. Then the data is updated. Is that what is suppose to happen? And the same thing goes for the other reports that I have as well.

I don't think that is the intended behavior.

Since the first run of the report gets fresh data, then we know for sure that there isn't saved data in the QRY.

Now if you hit refresh again the subreport just re-prints the same data?

Can you create a new stand alone report using the same QRY, and see if the refresh updates the data? You may have uncovered a bug.

What version of CR are you using? Ken Hamady
