I am trying to query a linked SQL table date field with criteria as ' datefield <= #6/12/2001#.
I am running this query on a win 2000 workstation.
When run against the linked tablem, it produces no action from Access.
Running the same query on an Access table works just fine.

thanks in advance.

that syntax works fine for me in ACC97 linked to SQL table.

have you been sucessful doing this before on the same linked table? if not, check to see if the 'date' field you're querying on is truely a date/time field - could really be text field. do a MAKE TABLE query on the whole thing and see what data type access is seeing it as. if it's text, do cdate(field1) before querying on it.
