Query result problem

On my site I have a spot to search for sites by the id number or by the location. The problem is if a location is entered a blank table for the id search shows up. Is there anyway to make only the item entered show up?

Not without dipping in some javascript. Surely this isn't a problem though? You can pick it out server-side and ignore it if is an empty string.

If you wanted a javascript solution, I'm sure the Javascript Forum guys will be able to get you on the right track

You're building up the tables server-side in response to the search aren't you? So just change your script to only build a results table if a search parameter was entered.
