Im running a query w/ a state parm from the design view. Msaccess2000v
If the user doesnt enter a state value IE: IL,IN MI but leaves the parm null Ill want to show all of the states in the state field ( no filter)

Im working w/ this in the design view but cant get the right combo in the state field

IIf(IsNull([Enter a Country]), Like "*"
I get a [ error i dont understand
help!!

Add another field and make it something like:
--

Expr1: [Enter a Country]
.
.
Criteria: (first line, leave BLANK)
(second line:) is null

If your query is complicated and uses several 'criteria' lines already, just make this one more criteria line. From what you have written above it looks like you at least have this parameter already in the criteria line somewhere.

this worked! I would have never guessed this way

thanks for your help!
