OK, so I'm new at this query thing, but I have one that is driving me crazy. I have a working query in Access 97 that I have imported into Access 2000. In the criteria row for a date field, I have it ask the user for a "start date" and then have the date field be = or > the users date. For some reason the box that pops up to ask the user to enter a date pops up twice. The first time I put in a date and it does what it is supposed to, but the box pops up again! I can't figure out why? Does anybody have any ideas why a query would run twice?

Thanks!

Try this in the criteria field

>=[Enter Start Date]

I have used this setup and it has always worked for me.
If that is not it look at how you are calling the query. For instance if you are using a command button to open the query and then to open a form based on the query eliminate the run query command. When you open the form it will prompt for the Query Parameter automatically.

Thanks, but I did have it >=...

I took out the runcommand sortascending statement in my macro and it stopped asking for the parameter twice....not sure why?? It worked in A97......

Thanks anyways...
