Hello guys

I've been playing with some corrupted databases on a BCM 400 system that I've found was mounted on a BFT marked up as a BCM200. I'm wondering if the systems site ID was mapped to the motherboard as is the case on a BCM 50/450.

Can anyone confirm this please?.

Thanks Cook1082. I looked at this in more detail today and found that the MSC card had the four module connectors, but the BFT was a BCM 200. I didn't think it was right to install a BCM 400 using a BFT from a 200 version.

I also have a proper BCM 200 and the MSC card on that one only has the two module connectors as I would have expected on a 200 BFT.

I'm going to swap out the BFT on each of them and power it up. The interesting thing was that it did say BCM 200 (greyed out!) when I had logged into the system via Elememt Mananger.
Therefore, this could explain why I've been having restore problems?.

Yes, I can confirm that the MSC card is where the site ID is taken from. I swapped out this card with another and was able to see it when I went to the keycode section.

One other thing to tell you about is that the Site ID is located underneath the MSC card. Therefore, you might have to remove it by removing the plastic cover on the front and the four screws holding the MSC, two larger screws at the front and the two smaller ones at the back.
