query of table minus the same table different query

Hey all,

I hope i can describe this.

There is a column on a table a field for ref and a field for status. Now one ref may have 3 provides then a complete or 1 provide and a complete or 3 provides and no complete.

What i require is a table of all the completes, and only provides that dont have a repeat. This would be the minimum i need.

If possible it would be nice that there was only one provide per ref (or no provide if there is a complete) which sums all the provide figures (the rest of the table is figures) for that ref.
