I'm running a query but it's not picking up records where the number begins with zero's

Any ideas?

Hi,

First check the table containing these misbehaving records and see if the numbers there have leading zeros. Note that in Access, leading zeros are automatically trimmed when the data type is numeric.

If this is the case, then convert the field type to Text.

Otherwise please post your SQL statement so that we can see what you aer doing.

Cheers,
Bill

NOVAmichelle,

NUMBERS only have leading zeros for DISPLAY purposes.

If your column is Text, then each CHARACTER is significant.

FYI, for instance
[tt]
1<>"1"
01<>"01"
[/tt]
