I am making a DB for an HR department (i don't really know what i'm doing, it seemed like an easy contract to start with!!) i've got all the tables in place, i now need to display information from two tables on one form. The first form has staff information (employee number, name, dob etc) the second has training records (employee number, training course code, date completed etc).

I've got the staff info on ok but when i try anything to get the training courses relating to that employee on the same form i'm at a loss. HELP!

You need to link the two tables together in a query through the common key field (employee_number).

I would suggest you consider using a subform. The main form contains the employee records the subform contains the training records. Link the field on employee number.
