I want to open a .txt document in Excel bur I onlt want specific fields to be displayed in Excel. How do I do it?

Why are you asking about EXCEl in an ACCES forum? Opening a txt file in Excel requires user interaction. If you want to make it easy on your user, create a 'csv' file - comma separated variables. This oepns automatically in Excel - from ACCESS or barefoot.
