hi all
i am a new comer to the world of unix. i am totally unaware about unix although i have programming background in windows. i am interested in learning unix. which book i should start reading from ?

Any other suggestions are also welcome....

Hi Sanjay. This is a question that's been asked several times before in this forum, so rather than reiterating those, try a keyword search for 'books' in this forum. Good luck.
 
Depends on what you want to do with *nix,learn how to use it, administrering it, shell programming.
There are so many things you can do.

Best thing to do is install a *nix OS on your pc and depending on what you want to do, google it and try to find your way out.
And if there is a command you want to learn how to use try the man pages. # man <command>
