I purchased a 64 bit server which has 16 gb memory 2 dual core cpu .
I am trying to moove everything from 2003 server to 2008 server .But i have a big problem . I have a ms access (2003) query which perfectly works on 2003 server machine. I copy the same mdb file or mde file into 2008 server that i mentioned the properties above. the query gets stuck and consumes the resources. It returns the result but very late. Have you guys had the same experience before. Please help. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

One other possible thought: Are you running the same version of Office on the 2008 server as the 2003 server? Also, did anything else change at all? Could it also be that the underlying tables of the query are just much larger now from use over time?

Thanks for the links I will try.

Yeah, it's most likely the difference from 03 to 08, then.
