Hello folks-

I have a report that is printing out information that comes from a query. The information is displayed in two ways. 1st it comes out as a list and second it comes out as a chart. The data that is the source for the table and pie chart come from the same query.

To run the query the user needs to input a number 1 through 10 that designates a particular project we're working on.

I have two questions.

1st. I have a made a report with a data table(data comes from query) and the query asks for the input (1 though 10) once. I have made a seperate report that has the pie chart and the query asks for the input once. Yet, when I comebine the two it asks for the information 2+ times (depending on if I create the report with design view or the wizard). Is there a way to fix this?

2nd. When I create the report with the table and pie chart on the same page, It seems to seperate the results of the query and create a pie chart for each. Instead of taking all the information and putting it in table format, it does one record at a time, with the same result for the pie chart? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks muchly,

Mark

Hi Mark

1. Use a form to supply the parameter to both queries. Create a form with an unbound textbox in which you supply the required parameter (1 through 10). Change your queries' parameter to reference this textbox, and then use a command button on your form to run the report. You will not be asked for the information twice.

2. Have you tried placing your chart in the Form Footer or Form Header. This might help.
