Query Calculation in Crosstab

Issue:

I have a nested crosstab report which looks like this:

YTD PYTD
---------------------
YOP 2007 YOP 2006
---------------------

Subject 200 100



I am trying to create a variance column which will subtract the sales for PYTD where YOP = 2006 from the sales for YTD where YOP = 2007.

The YTD & PYTD are from the time dimension. The YOP figures are from a different dimension which categories the publication year.

The above used to be very simple in the powerplay client, but cannot replicate in analysis studio as the YOP Years cannot be individually nested under the time dimensions.

i.e. Nesting YOP 2007 under YTD will also nest it under Prior YTD in analysis studio. I do not want this.

I have created the report in report studio as a result but cannot finish the variance calculations.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
