WHAT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO IS HAV 5 COMBO BOXES WITH DEIFFEREBT OPTIONS WITHIN.

LET THE USER SELECT WHATEVER THEY WANT PRESS A COMMAND BUTTON RESULTING IN A QUERY BEING GENERATED AND THE RESULTS DISPLAYED OR AN ERROE MESSAGE APPEARING1

ALL HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED1
 
Did you try using Recordsets?? I wuold do it something like this given the controls are named c1 - c5

you can use the names of the fields to build an SQL statement like this for example, and remember I don't really know what you are doing it for or the field names

SQLString = &quot;select * from <table> where <field1> = c1.value and ... and <field5 = c5.value>;

Try that and let me know.
