Query & InputBox

hi guyz

I have a database with customers and i want to use a query that shows customers with a name that i select
Can i use in the query statement a InputBox? I have tryed and I get errors

Can anyone help me?
I ca use a Form/Report/Query as laong as it shows only the customers with the name I input...

IMHO, parameter prompts are never an acceptable user interface faq701-6763. Use controls on forms for all user input.

i hava a form for inserting/editing customers, but i want to check if a customer is already in the customers table ( i use a field for last name and one for first name)

If you already have the names entered into your form, why do you need something else for criteria in your query?
