Hello, I need some help using the command - <%Response.ContentType="application/vnd.ms-excel"%>.

I've been testing on two different websites at two different providers. One is at Network Solutions and the download works fine, right into an Excel spreadsheet as it should. The other is on a server here locally in south Texas and and the download produces a table of the data only, no Excel spreadsheet. The code is the same, just the databases are different. I've gone over the code many times cutting and pasteing thinking I misspelled something. But no luck. My question, is there something that needs to be turned on in IIS to make this function work on the client? Thanks for any help you may be able to give me. Riley

Well, never mind. I walked away from it for 30 minutes and now everything is working as it should. I did close all the stuff I had open and launch again. I guess something was cached. Thanks.

Seems like we're never satisfied. My export from an ASP table (data from MSSQL) to MS Excel is working fine. But now I would like to put a page break between each record (invoicing). I've tried using the <style="page-break-before: always;> (and after too) both in the tr and br tags inside the ASP Loop with no luck. Looking around on the web it appears other people have the same problem. Am I going in the right direction with this page break or am I missing something? Riley
