I have an "A-Trend" 440 MB with an AMD K6 350 CPU that will not use a NIC nor my Zip drive. It works OK it is @ home so it is not my main PC. I am supposed to be able to fix such as this but it has had me stumped for over a year.

here is BIOS info
Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 1.5
Unicore Chip Detect v0.72 2000.03.10
BIOS Date: 10/18/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 10/18/1999-MVP3-586B-SMC-ATC-5220C-QP
BIOS Eval: ATC-5220 VER:2.0 01 GS
Chipset: VIA 82C597 rev 4
Superio: SMC 669 rev 3 found at port 370h

I can get a SOYO SOCKET 370 ATX MB W/ VIDEO & SOUND- for $39!
does anyone know of a fix for this instead of purchasing a new one ??

Why won't it use a NIC or Zip?
Have you had them installed professionally, or DIY?
Have you reset BIOS to default settings?
Did you try all possible configurations for the zip?
Is the zip parallel, serial, IDE, what?
Is the NIC a PCI or ISA, and is it PnP? Cheers,
Jim
