I am a newby to Quark and I want to take advantage of the "Mail merge on steroids" ability of the XData XTension.

I have a 50 row tab delimited .txt file that I am trying to read information from to make a brochure with information about classes (price, location, instructor, etc). I downloaded and "installed" the free version of XData and cannot find any documentation on it.

I have put references to the data fields in my text box in QuarkXPress, but I cannot get the data to populate in Quark. I have put "<<price>>" (w/o quotes) in my text box, but it does not populate. I cannot find any samples of how this works.
I have to get this done ASAP for a work project, can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

It's been a long time since I used Xdata, but one thing in your post stands out: "<<" and ">>". You do know that those are left and right guillemots (each is a single character), not double less-than/greater-than signs, don't you?

And Xdata isn't XML, so this is really the wrong forum. Xdata runs its own forum (not on Tek-Tips) which is very good, only I can't remember how to get to it.
