Hi,

I have installed QuarkXPress 6.1 on a Windows XP PC logged in as administrator and all was successful. When I log on as a standard user, i get the error message "The Activation file for this copy of QuarkXPress 6.1 has been corrupted. You must reinstall this copy..."

When i sign back in as administrator the program works perfectly. I have given the standard user full rights to the local PC, without any effect.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Had this problem a long time ago myself. Don't remember exactly what the fix was for it but I remember having to call quark. If I'm not mistaking they made me reinstall and gave me a new activation for it.

Hi,
Do following to solve the problem:

Quit Q if its running.
Delete the Quark-folder in OSX-Library-Preferences. It seems empty but isnt,
After that run QuarkXPress.component in the folder For system in QuarXPress 6.1 -program folder.
Restart Quark, activate by internet or phone. If internet doesnt work (server is down), choose over phone, and copy the installation code and send to activation@quark.co.in
or call the number on the screen.

Thanks, for you responses. I ended up logging on to the machine as a local user which i made a member of power users and this seems to do the trick.

Problem still remains that its not logging on to the domain.
