Does Quark Express 6 allow transparent sections of an image?

I am trying to cut out a background using PSP9, after saving as a TIFF I have inserted into Quark, to find that the background in white and not transparent.

Any ideas.......?

A clipping path should be saved in the TIFF file before placing in QuarkXPress.

I have tried this, I am using Paintshop Pro 9 and have had to save a selection as an Alpha Channel in a TIFF. However when I Import the Image it is either black and white or is distorted with lots of lines.

Any ideas....?

Alpha channels are not clipping paths. QuarkXPress does not support alpha channels as you have discovered. This is why you need a clipping path.
