Quark SAVES after updating to Leopard 1

I just updated my team to Leopard, plus my company put us on a new PC server.
We're having a lot of problems with Quark Xpress 7.31. Before we updated we had no problems with Tiger saving files. But since the upgrade not only will Quark not replace and save, but after one save it tells us it can't save because either 1. the file is already open or 2. Quark shuts down without saving. It's very frustrating. Is there a fix for this issue and has anyone else had this problem?

...i'd first advise to update to 7.5 available here:

...one area to test is creating a new user in leopard and test that, i believe this can solve some frustrating issues have you mentioned...
